Ancestor John MILLAR born Haddington, East Lothian 2 Dec 1807 parents Alexander MILLAR and Elizabeth THOMPSON married abt 1803, Haddington from IGI I belive Alexander's parents to be John MILLAR and Alison CRAISE of Yester, East Lothian and I believe Elizabeth's parents to be James THOMPSON and Elizabeth NEILSON of Haddington.. this is supported by the names of the first 4 children of John and Eliz MILLAR Elizabeth, Alison, John, James.. followed by Alexander and Mary.. John MILLAR moved to Bonnington, West Lothian (Linlithgow).. and married Mary LAWSON in 1831.. having 8 children I have traced this family forward to REEDIE ancestors in the US Would like to hear from anyone with connections to this MILLAR line.. Hi Colette, My husband is descended from Alison CRAISE's brother Robert CRAISE. Do you have any more information about the LAWSON as Robert's son married Elizabeth LAWSON about 1815. I have not been able to find anything about her family yet.
