Children lived in the parish with their natural families, usually their mother." (McNicoll, p 4) You would have to lookup in the parish registers or the like to find out the "facts" (ha ha), it would also be wise to check the 1851 census for yourself to confirm the accuracy of these details, I have found them to be OK so far, but one never knows...
