    2. Hello Can anyone tell me if there could possibly be 2 listings for the marriage of the same people? I have a date of 24 Nov. 1807 in Yester , East Lothian, and Dec. 5, 1807 in Edinburgh Parish. The names are the same , George Moodie and Jane/Jean Gray. Could it be that they were married first where he lived and then went to her home and were married a second time in Midlothian? Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I was wondering if it would be because of a religious difference. edie

    3. People often registered their marriage in both the bride and groom's parish. Births were as well.
