Apr 22 Elspeth Begbie late Spouse to Peter Spence in Bolton. Apr 24 George Gothrie at Coalston. May 3 Jannet Neilson spouse to Peter Lamb in Gifford. July 26 Margaret Henderson relict of Peter Gothrie in Bolton. Forgot June 7 Jannet Gothrie spouse to James Carrail in Gladsmuir. Aug 7 Charles Gothrie in Bolton, son to Marg,t Henderson. Oct 10 John Blachie at Haggs in Morham Parish. (the writer forgot to indicate the change of year here I think) Jan 27th Jannet Flesher Aged in Pilmuir. Jan 28th James Rippeth Aged in Samulstone. Feb 27th Alison Kinggorn an Old Woman in Spittle Aberlady. March 22nd John Nickleson in Samuelstone Gladsmuir Parish. April 8th Lilias Lamb a Young Woman in Gifford Parish April 19th Isabell Hope an Old woman in Begbie Haddington Parish. (continued later) The records of Burial transcribed as written, punctuated and spelt. Interesting the distinction of age the scribe used without giving an exact are in years. Also no reference to Mort Cloth fees or bell ringing costs. My interest in this extract was DAVID WALLACE Gardener in Newhall, he left a large and young family. Anyone have any info on the place?
