Speaking of the Begbies, I've got a Marion Begbie who married Alexander Stobie. (unfortunately, dates unknown) They had a daughter Agnes (born 1779), who married John Lindsay. I'm mostly interested in the Lindsays, but would love to get in contact with anyone who has any connections to any of these families. Lorraine

I have a line of BEGBIEs from Samuelston and Gladsmuir. Almost all of them were blacksmiths. I would be interested to hear from anyone else connected to the family of Thomas Begbie and Agnes Hill who married at Gladsmuir on 23 June 1837 and had the following children: Thomas 1838; Christian (Christina) 1839; Peter Hill 1842; William 1845; Janet March 1849 and an unamed male born 1853 who only lived for 3 weeks.
