Hi Mary, Your mention of Doughtie rings a bell. I haven't done any real work on it but I'm told that James Somerville & Mary Orkney had a daughter Margaret who married a Doughty/Doughtie (given name unknown). They had David, William, James, Thomas and Robert. I've really only looked at the LDS site and so I haven't found a marriage date but I would imagine it was circa 1820. There are possibilities for marriages of the children in East Lothian towns. Would like to hear if you've stumbled across my names during your research.
