Hello! I am Mary Jo and I'm trying to research ELN for the Dunbar family in the 1700's but so far have been unsuccessful. I see that you're searching in this same time period. Can you give me any sites to search? I know they were Presbyterian. John was born in Haddingtonshire and raised in the town of Dunbar. Either he or his father was the immigrant to America. John Dunbar was a Rev War soldier and his children were born George 1770 m. Eliz Elliott and Catherine Slusser, Robert b. 1771/73 m. Magdelena Bretz, Susanna b. 1774 m. George Craft/Kraft. Supposedly the children were born in Philadelphia County, PA, USA. They lived in and around Hummelstown, PA in 1776. Then they migrated to OH. We have been searching since 1943 for our John Dunbar.
