Hi Marilyn, My Wights are the following: Ellen Wight 1828 to her father, Andrew Wight born 1788 in East Lothian married in Franklin County, KY, his father, James Wight 1755 to his father, another James Wight 1721 Ormiston, E.Lothian to Alexander to Robert to another Alexander 1649 to Robert to John to another John who died in abt 1626. I can go back somewhat farther. I am also connected to Beatrice Wight as she married her second cousin, James of 1721. Would you happen to know the brothers or sisters of your William Wight who married Isabel Wilson? Would you know the siblings of your John Wight born 1818? My Ellen Cose Wight, born 1828 could be promising as she was the youngest child. I have her older sister's name but it would be interesting to see if John were Ellen's brother. When did your Wights leave Scotland? Thanks for reading, Karen Stone On Thu, 28 Feb 2002 17:05:32 +1300 "Revell" <[email protected]> writes: > Hi Karen > I am interested in your Wight ancestors. Hi Karen, Sorry I can't help you. William and Isobel Wight are as far back as I have gone to date. Also John Wight is the only child of Andrew Wight and Christina Denholme that I am able to find at the moment. I have no idea what happened to my Wight ancestors. The last known one in my line was my great grandmother Christina Wight born 1845 who married Colin Archibald. Their daughter, my grandmother, married an Englishman and all my relations lived in London. Sorry I am not any more help!
