Hi Liz, We connected briefly a while back concerning a connection thru the Blair family. If the children you have for Campbell are (I believe) Sarah, Andrew, Ann, Janet, William, Elizabeth, Richard and Robert then the first connection is Margaret who married John Blair. I believe the line is Margarets brother Andrew m. Johanna Snaddon 1807 to Son Andrew b. 1809 m. Jane Cook 1829 to Andrew again bpt. 1835 whom married Campbell. Let me know if that works with what you've got. If you give me the other Bernard names with some clues I'll trace them out (Margaret Blair we know of and I've got the line you spoke previously to Ray Giron about as well). I cannot find the exact date they came to America but family history has it in 1852 or 1853. They had children named: Margaret b 1841; William b 1843; Helen b 1845; Duncan b 1847; Daniel b 1851 (and died we believe in Scotland); Catherine b 1851 (and died 1847 in Scotland); Helen/Ellen b 1851 (twin to CAtherine); their next 3 children were born in America. The border of the two parishes (Alva and Logie) is at Blairlogie, which is west of Menstrie (no more than 2 miles). I would like to thank everybody who has responded to my question about Nairn's Bank. This list is really helpful! On his son's death certificate (1872 - Edinburgh) the father, William DRUMMOND, is described as "Landed Proprietor Nairn's Bank, Clackmannanshire", I had assumed that this meant more than a house, but perhaps I was reading too much into it. Is there a river called Nairn in the area? I am planning a trip to Clackmannanshire in August and these questions are part of my preparation. I hate to add more questions as you have all been very kind with your time, but I am a little confused over the place-name Logie. The William DRUMMOND, mentioned above, was born in Logie, Clackmannanshire (1752) and his children (1783-1802) were born in Logie, Perthshire. [all this from the IGI] Now I know that bits and pieces of Logie have been re-distributed between CLK, Perthshire and Stirlingshire but I can't seem to find anywhere where the parish of Logie is described. Hello everybody: I am new to this list and just wanted to post my interests ... William DRUMMOND married Helen DUNCANSON in Logie (1783) and had the following children (at least) ... Christian (female) 1784 John (1786) James (1787) <- my primary interest John (1789) William (1793) Agnes (1799) Robert (1800) Henrie (1802). Now, I realise that Logie at the time was considered to be in Perthshire so if my post would be better directed to the Perthshire list please let me know. William, on James's death certificate, was stated as living at "Nairn's Bank", would anyone have an idea where this is?
