Glad to be of assistance. The only reason I have this Hunter listing is I'm trying to find the connection with HUNTER / PATERSON. I may be off track but based on the fact that my grandfathers twin sister was named Ann Hunter Bower. My great grandmother, Jane Murray Whyte, was apt to name her children with family names ( god bless her ) and her mother was Marjory Paterson. The most annoying thing is, I have hunted high and low on Scotland's people for Marjory Paterson's death certificate ( some time after 1859 ) and have had no luck. I had a thought that the family may have followed Jane to Australia but no luck there either. I seem destined to find every body else's family but my own. Okay if this James is the son of Andrew and Elizabeth/Elspet Paterson then I have more on this family too. Charles Harrower who married Ann/Agness Hunter is a sibling to my husband's direct ancestor. Ann/Agness died in 4 Feb 1864 and Charles predeceased her in 1856. A recent posting by Lorraine Bower mentioned that she had a list of Hunter weddings in Clackmannanshire. I am looking for the parents of my great grandfather, Richard Hunter (b. 1844), who supposedly came from Clackmannan. His father's name was also supposed to be Richard (and his mother's name was Elizabeth), but I have been unsuccessful in finding either a marriage or a birth for either Richard in Clackmannanshire. If Lorraine is reading, could you please send me a copy of the list of marriages. If anyone else can help me find Richard's parents, that would make me very happy. I know he came to the United States in 1865 with 3 of his friends. There does not seem to be many "Richards" in Clackmannanshire. Why would that be? Alan B. It's a dry heat!
I have contacted you off list. Elizabeth jean > Hi, > I tried to send you the Hunter listing off site but it bounced back. > Would you like it. > Lorraine

My grandfathers twin sister was named Ann HUNTER BOWER. I know there is a HUNTER connection with her grandmother Marjory PATERSON but am unable to pin it down.
