    3. i do know that the women's counterpart to the Masons is the "Order of the Eastern Star". At that time, it would have been a Protestant membership of women who were related to Masons. My great-grannie (who came from Pulteneytown to Canada in 1920) always said that she was related to a "grand" Mason of some sort. However, i don't know what groups in particular were going at the turn of the century.
