I am searching for information on James Millar, father of Janet Millar. The record of Janet's marriage in 1808 to William Bruce states that Janet was the daughter of the deceased James Millar, shipmaster, Wick. I have located a James Millar, shipmaster in Staxigo who had by his wife Isobel Sutherland a son baptised named James on November 30, 1781 but I have not found any other children of this couple.
