Hi Anna I have an Angus Sutherland who married Elizabeth Gunn 19 Dec 1833 in Latheron. They one daughter that I know of, Jessie. Not sure if there is a connection to your family or not. Dear Anna and list members: I have a GGGrandmother Esther HENDERSON, who married George MACKAY in Halkirk in 1827, children were: William (b. 1827, baptism witness: Benjamin Henderson) Catherine (b. 1829, baptism witness: John Henderson) Janet - ( b. 1830, baptism witness: William Henderson) John Henderson MACKAY - (b. 1832, my GGrandfather, baptism witness William MacKay) Margaret - 1834 (witness also William MacKay) All these children were born in Brawl. Does anyone know this town? From the OPR marriage records George MACKAY was from Farnsdale or Townsdale but can't quite make this word out. Does anyone know this town? Have not been able to determine birthdates for George & Esther, or their parents identity. If Scottish naming conventions hold true (as they seem to elsewhere in this family), then George MACKAY's parents would be William and Janet MACKAY, and Esther's would be John and Catherine HENDERSON. Have found LDS records with William MACKAY marrying Janet MILLAR in 1796, but was hoping someone on the list might verify this hunch, or have other connections. Thanks! Terri
