Wonder if anyone has easy access to any census APART from 1881? I would love a look up for WILLIAM SHAND originally b. 1804, Elgin area, but living in Arhchoval in 1881. He was married in Latheron. The entry for him on 1881 census gives his birthplace as Anders, Elgin..but I can find no trace of Anders and wonder if perhaps it is a shortened for of something, or perhaps a tricky transcription from old writing.
