These dates will be the date of final reading of the banns in the home parish churches of the two persons. The marriage would probably have occurred a few days, weeks or months later. The best plan for you is to read the OPR for both parishes and see what the actual entries are. The IGI only contains the names & dates, but the OPR sometimes gives the residence and/or family connections of one or more of the persons. It is very likely that one or both of the OPR entries will say something like "x of this parish and y of the parish of z". Then you will know which parish each of the principals lived in and can concentrate searches there for earlier generations. Good Luck ........
