It's a longshot, but might you have any records of a Thomas Chisholm, born between 1780 and 1805 (probably around 1800) in an unknown location, who died between 1846 and 1850, probably near Wick? He was married about 1825 to Elizabeth Paterson, who emigrated from Wick to Canada with her children in 1851 as a widow. Thomas was reputed to be (abt 1825-45?) a builder and contractor on estate of Duke of Sutherland. After death, business run by sons and then sold to a Mr. Dunbar. Ring any bells?
