Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone out there is related to Hugh Farquhar or MacKay and his wife Margaret Sutherland. Margaret was aborn about 1759 and died in 1855 at New Reay and I think was buried in New Reay Cemetary. Her fathers name was William Sutherland and her mother was Elizabeth MacDonald. Hugh is a mystery. His seven children all used the name Farquhar until they reached adulthood and then took the name Mackay. Hugh appears to have used both surnames as well. Can anyone help? Cheers.
