    1. Names on Records Including 'Mc or Mac'
    2. Noticed something when looking up a McAdie ancestor. When I did a look up on Scots Origins for a birth record where the mother was Elizabeth McAdie, the mother's last name only had ADIE, the MC was part of mother's first name. After noticing this on several records I then tried to find the marriage record using the female's last name of ADIE and found her first name included the MC portion of last name. I was also able to locate her birth record using ADIE as last name. Then found the same birth record listed on IGI under ADIE. I have sent emails to both LDS and Scots Origins notifying them of the occurrences that I found. Hope this helps someone else knock down a brick wall by finding records using this method! Lynn M.
