I believe his father was Alexander Garden of Keith. Joseph married Elspet Booth in 1816 at Deskford. Elspet was descended from Booths and Sims of Fordyce. Are my Gardens related to yours? If so, I'm hoping to hear from you :-)

Sorry (unnamed) My first Joseph Garden doesn't appear until 1815 although there is a fair chance that yours was related to my Gardens in some way. Alistair
