Does anyone know of the origins of Patrick Russell of Montcoffer who I believe built Montcoffer House in 1683? Thomas Russell, a burgh councillor of Elgin d 1707 (first husband of my ancestor Elspeth Sutherland, daughter of William Sutherland of Rosehaugh) mentions Patrick Russell of Montcoffer in his testament.
