He was in the Gordon Highlanders regiment. The only Canada connection I know of is my aunt 2nd daughter of Major Gordon, Beatrice (sister of Bill) who emigrated to Vancouver before I was born They are the Strathdee connection (Bea & Stewart) still in Vancouver. they have no children. because I have no other information about the family I dont know at this point whether it is connected so I will have to sit on this a bit. I plan to go to Keith in spring there is an excellent geneology section. Stewarts sister is also the registrar there. I went to see her last March but she was on leave. Is the northern scot a scottish publication you see which country are you in?? I have had an email from them today - all it says is that there are plans but no details.
