Have anybody heard about Colonel James INNES (abt.1675-1746)? He is said to have been born in Cullen and was involved in both 1715 and 1745 risings. After the battle at Culloden he was arrested and executed 21st October 1746 about 70 years old. I want information about his parents. Perhaps someone can do a lookup in some Jacobite litterature? James Innes was married to Mary RAMSAY who died in 1747. She is buried at the old cemetry of Banff. I suppose perhaps she was from Banff, or at least had some relatives there. James and Mary got several daughters. One of them was Mary who was married to Alexander PATERSON, a merchant of Banff. This daughter may be the one who was christened in Banff 1st January 1712. I want information about Mary's family. Who where her parents, siblings and other daughters? Regards from Knut Bryn, Molde, Norway
