New to the list, I am researching GRANT in Grange and GRANT in Keith The following newspaper article relates to both Grant's. Duff Grant had 8 children so far recorded. I have found reference to the birth of a MacDuff Grant 1819 in Grange. Parents: John Grant/Isobell Reid married 1808 I have sent for the birth certificate and the above marriage certificate. Duff Grant went through his life as Duff (Including using that name on birth certificates - I have yet to find his marriage - I believe to Amelia Gray - Emily) and I would like to know if it is likely or even legal to drop the Mac. Many of his children were given the middle name Duff. Have I found the right GRANT?
