Hi Jen and Goldie Many thanks to both of you for the extensive replies you've sent regarding the John WATT families of Glass and Cabrach. At this time, it appears the John WATT families of Glass and Cabrach are two completely separate families, with the entry for William WATT, born Cabrach, and listed as "Brother" of James WATT on the 1851 Kinnethmont census, a red-herring. It could very well be that William WATT was the son of John WATT and Isobel TAYLOR of Cabrach, had been visiting/living/working with the James WATT family on 1851 census day, and the census enumerator, hearing his surname WATT, and with Lawrence already given as brother, possibly wrote 'brother' for William as well. Again, many thanks for your time and effort, and perhaps one day I can return the favor :-) Regards, Deb O'Reilly Midlothian, Viriginia USA home page: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/dcoreilly A&NESFHS #13005 WorldConnect at Rootsweb/Ancestry.com: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=dcoreilly Researching the Grassick and related families of Aberdeenshire
