My ggaunt Kate-Maitland HUNTER, also known as Catherine and Kate and Milly was in Aberlour in the 1880's with her 3 brothers. She was born 1877 in Edinburgh. I have their orphanage records and birth records however Kate disapears here. I have looked on ScotlandsPeople and not found who I believe is her. The family story, told by John, is that she was a bond servant. I have looked in the immediate area around the orphanage but don't see her. My next thought is court records or some record of her "crime" that brought her to be a bond servant. This would quicken my search. Do such records exist? Michelle

It's not such a common name in this area so maybe lucky (and cheap? ).
