They originally show up in Auchterless, Aberdeenshire, but their decendants were at Gawnsmoss and Forglen, Banff. They had four children: Barbara 1822, John 1825, George 1827, and Ann 1830 (at least that I've found so far). Barbara married (or didn't) a number of times and had about 8 children, most with different surnames: Pirie, Jameson, Martin, Smith and Fidler. John is also credited with two illegitimate daughters before he married Ann Duncan (cousin?) in 1873 and had ten legitimate children: John, George, James, Robert, Alexander, Helen, William, Peter, Andrew and Henry between 1873 and 1889. Of those children, George married Eliza Jane Hendry, James married Maggie Donald, and Helen married George Hendry. I have nothing further on James and Ann's third son, George. Youngest child Ann maried William Findlater in 1851 and so far I have just one daughter, Elizabeth Findlater. The Christian Andrew I have is the daughter of Andrew and Jean Greig, born in 1827 in Alvah. She married a John Nicol in 1850. So, no exact matches, but we'll keep digging. Marilyn
