Greetings from Western Australia fellow listers, I am trying to find out what records may be available about sailors in Banff about 1820 to 1844. In particular I am looking for information about Neil FLETCHER born about 1800 died between 1841 and 1844 inMacduff / Gamrie. He was a sailor / seaman when he was married and for the birth of some of his children. However on the 1841 census he was listed as a grocer. Neil's wife (widow) married in 1844 in Macduff to a Donald McDONALD a Road Contractor. On the 1861 Census I (finally!)found Donald and his wife with one of Neil's sons - Alexander FLETCHER - in the parish of St Nicholas, Aberdeen City, Aberdeen. I hope someone can point me in the right direction for the seaman records. TIA Nigel Boundy Researching all things BICE, BOUNDY, COATE, FLETCHER, McDONALD and RETALLACK. __________________________________ Yahoo!
