My 7th G-grandfather was Robert Duff of Hillockhead. He was born sometime between 1660 - 1675 most likely, and died in 1754. He shows up on the 1696 Census living there with his three sons, Robert, Thomas, and John. Robert was my 6th G-Grandfather. He was a minister (Anglican) in Abelour. He died in 1738 there. He was married to Isabel Innes of Culgvoich. They had 5 children: Patrick (a minister at St. Machars in Aberdeen, where he is burried), William (a minister at Foveran (north of Aberdeen)) (my 5th G-grandfather), John, Mary, and Margaret. Seems they should at least be related to your group.
