I have STUARTS in Fifekeith; namely James STUART (d. 1839) a master mason reputed to have had a hand in building many Banffshire churches, and in particular, St. Rufus' Church in Keith. He married Margaret TAYLOR, who was from a family of bakers in Keith or Fifekeith. They had several children, all but two of whom emigrated to Canada. Of the latter two who stayed in Scotland, Charles STUART died young, and William STUART continued the bakery business in Keith. A daugher, married to a MACPHERSON or MCPHERSON was still living at Regent Street, Fifekeith, in 1924. William in Alberta Canada
