I'm an American now married to an Australian lady and living outside Brisbane. For some 30 years I was deeply involved in historical research and writing in Florida and since coming to Australia five years ago have become involved in historical research relating to "Australians" who were American Civil War veterans and are buried throuout Australia. As such, I have built a public, free-use Australian Memorial Website, www.acwv.info, dedicated to those individuals. In building a memorial presentation for one James Burns Shaw who was born in Banffshire, Scltland, later migrated to Canada and then to Australia and died on December 29, 1915 and was buried in the Church of England's Walerley Cemetery, I am having trouble acquiring information on him. I was wondering if anyone had any relevent information they could share with me, or might know anyone who could supply me with such information. Would sks be able to look up actual 1841 census for Gamrie. I have the following from freecen ( thank you all you freecen volunteers beavering away ).
