My father (also John A S Clark) occasionally took me to visit the Cook's house in Ellon when I was very young - we lived in Aberdeen at the time. As I recall, Henry Cook was a policeman in Ellon. I've just begun to look into the Clark family history and found it interesting to see some of my relatives already mentioned here. As far as I know, the South Itlaw farm remained in the family - my grandfather's step-brother Willie Clark inherited it, and it passed down through his daughters - it continues in business as a pig farm under the Donald name.
