They were Inn keepers and shepards at the Grouse Inn and Nether Ardwell, from abt 1854 to abt 1870. Elspet Kellas was born May 8, 1801, Blairfindy, Glenlivet and died May 8, 1858, Nether Ardwell. William Stuart was born June 1810, Refriesh, Glenlivet, and died July 22, 1903, aged 93 at Hillock of Echt. William's parents were John Stuart and Elizabeth Mitchell, Refriesh. John Stuart was born at Tomnalienan abt. 1776. My great-grandfather was also William Gordon Stuart, (Twin to Jane Stuart, who was married to David Scott, Hillock of Echt). This William and Jane were born July 23, 1835, Glenlivet. William Gordon Stuart was married to Sarah Anne Miller (they met in England, while William was stationed there in the military) William and Sarah had a large family and they moved in 1887, into Tininver House, Dufftown.
