Bev, sorry no - well maybe a bit. I have only guessed George GORDON's parentage from the IGI on a 'best-candidate' basis. Often works, but sometimes doesn't, which is why I qualified the statement with a 'probably'. Ian A C Scott has just supplied the following from the Bellie OPR has: "George, Lawful Son to George Gordon and Ann Hay, Longhowe, was born 19th and baptised 28th February 1820. Witnesses George Johnston and George Forbes in Dallachy." Maybe a clue in there? Regards Howard
