I was indeed in Portknockie in 2000, when Davie Mair helped me find the wreck of my gt-gduncle James Watson's ship in the sand in Cullen Harbour, and I was in Cullen Cemetery talking to a Bob Geddes who was tending the area and very kindly brought out the Burial Register so I could find said James Watson's grave and MI. But I don't recall any visit to or meeting in Portknockie Cemetery! I don't have records of any of the people you mention. If I'm right James Geddes Wood and Caroline Mair appear in the 1881 census - he is a fisherman, born as James Wood on 28-1-1842 Portknockie to John Wood and Helen Wood. Since all my Geddes folks are farmfolk, I'm wondering if you're mistaking me for someone else?! Can you expand a bit - I simply cannot see any linkage at present and am certainly curious. By the way, I tried to e-mail you off-board but it bounced as being undeliverable. Regards Howard
