As for the Donaldsons, they came originally from Ross & Cromarty to Gamrie in the 1820s. The last I have in my tree is Jane b. 1855 in Monquhitter. She had 7 siblings born in Gamrie and Banff between then and 1871. Don't think there's a connection. Thanks anyway.
