Does anyone know where I can access information on an ancestor, Neil FLETCHER living in Macduff, Gamrie, Banffshire, who was a seaman for the early 1830s and may be late 1820s. In 1837 he was listed as being a Merchant, grocer and sp. dealer? I am wondering if there are official Mrchant and Seamen records that can be accessed?
