I have an Elizabeth Duncan born abt 1789 and died 27 August 1872, age 83. I don't have where she was from but she married John MacIntosh, of Marnoch, Banffshire, s/o James MacIntosh & Teresa Brown. John had sailed for Nova Scotia (date unknown) and the next year John's brother, George and Elizabeth Duncan came to Halifax. I understand she and John were married there, (Can't find anything yet) and managed an inn or tavern. They then moved to Sherbrooke, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia and settled there. He is listed in the census as being a ship carpenter. Their first child was born about 1813. They had 8. Elizabeth adn John are both buried in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia. I hope this is useful. Cheryl in N.S.

Beth Just in case you did not recieve me last email I have sent you a copy of the last one I sent and copied it to the lists. Hope to hear from you soon. I hope all is well with you Hi Beth guess what I have a Robina Grigor Morrison b 8 nov 1875 in Mcduff Gamrie Banffsire she was the doughter of Alexander Morrison and Elspet Michie. Alexander Morrison B circa 1832 m Elspet Michie b 23 july 1838. Aleaxander was the son of John Morrison and Jane Brodie who were also the parents of Jean Grant Morrison so that would make Jean Grant Morrison the aunt of Robina Grigor Morrison ( I think thats right ) This seems to be either a good coincidence or I think we may of found a link. And yes my Morrisons did go to Canada in fact I have allready found 1 link in Toronto a John Charles Morrison b 7 july 1955 in Toronto. This John decended from John Gill Morrison b 2 jan in Toronto. parents were Charles James Morrison b 10 april 1908 in Peterhead Scotland. His Father was James Morrison b 29 nov 1878 in Mcduff Banff. It was this James Morrison who was also a son of the Alexander Morrison above who married Elspet Michie. and so we come full circle. I am so sorry if that is more confusing then I meant it to be. I do hope you can unravel it and also if we can find the link. Hope to hear from you soon.
