    1. Tiree Gathering Update - 9 weeks to go!
    2. Scott Cameron
    3. Greetings everyone! 13 seats left on the bus. If you want a seat let me know ASAP. Ticket prices $ 30.00 CDN per person. This morning I received an email from Archie MacKinnon as per below. Archie makes mention of some good housekeeping rules and suggestions for the Gathering displays. Please read over and take heed to Archie's wisdom. Let me know if you are going to require a table to display your belongings, handouts, etc. Bring what you can regardless of its size, tables are available. Thanks, Scott www.tireegathering.com 9 weeks to go! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Scott, I think we need specific information for participants at the Friday and Saturday morning sessions. They need to have the following asap: A layout for displays and exhibits at Harcourt. I suggest that we reserve the small room for the Tiree Interconnections Project and focus the displays on Families (Listed by Clans attending). The room would be the area for seeing VCR's, slide shows, computer access, copying machines, etc. (TV / VCR will be available....on site copier / computer may not be available...you may wish to bring your own laptop. x-Scott) Recall that Russ and Louise want a full wall for the family trees. The auditorium will be the location for as many exhibits and displays that we can manage and still seat around 150+. Each person bringing materials to the Gathering needs to know where to put the materials which should be clearly labelled with a name and " Do not remove". Handouts should be labelled as " Please Take". Tables should have a " Reserved For.........." sign so that minimum time is wasted in putting up the displays. I think all participants should be reminded to bring something f! or sharing with the possibility of leaving some items for the museums or " The Tiree Emigrant's Kist" Persons making presentations should remember their time limits and may have to restrict their use of AV to audio only given the problem of darkening the room ( or is that not a problem ? >> the rooms can be darkened x-Scott). Time is slipping by fast. Yours aye, Archie --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
