    3. Aye, thanks for the words of encouragement Margaret which also must be shared with Guelph's Isle of Tiree Descendants Leanne Piper, Archie MacKinnon and Ross McLean! The four of us have been busy over the past two years with more meetings yet to be had prior to 10 weeks from now. Cheers, Scott www.tireegathering.com <<< register today....come on I know there are many of you out there who have yet to register and live so close to the Royal City. Do I have to name names? With respect to your question Maraget . . . no doubt the Island of Two Harvests will be available for sale at the Gathering. I believe copies will be coming forth via someone from Tiree attending the Gathering. The four Guelphites are not involved in selling the books as we have enough tasks at hand. The lovely book which I highly recommend can be ordered via www.tireearchive.com . Check the website for all the details. Thanks for the gaelic update too Margaret, as per below! Hey folks, if you have not registered for the "Tiree Bus to the Bruce" please let me know ASAP. You can pay the day of. If we fill the bus, and it is a great big comfortable, fun filled memories bus trip of a life time!!!! the cost will be $ 25.00 CDN. I have room for about 30 more. "Hurry hard" as we Canadian curlers say! Aye! . . . of to coach my son David's baseball team now . . .current standings 1-0-0 (last year's city champs at that!) By the way....it is sunny and hot in Guelph today! ....great day for a Gathering! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Scott - Thanks many times for keeping us up to date with all your news items for the forthcoming gathering in Guelph. What is the price of the book on Tyree that is going to be made available at the gathering? I have just received a message from the Secretary of the St. Andrew's Society in Las Vegas to which Fred and I belong. Apparently at their last meeting they had Dr. Margaret McKinnon as their guest speaker. In this most recent message they gave the members the site for the preservation of the Gaelic language and other items as well. www.savegaelic.org The e-mail for the Secretary of the St. Andrew's Society in Las Vegas is Marie Cormier scotsldy@ix.netcom.com You are doing a great job along with your helpers, so hang in there, not long to go now. Blessings Margaret Russell --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
