Dear Tiree Listers and Gathering Listers, You'll probably have noticed from recent messages that one of the Gathering events marshals at the McCrae House museum in Guelph. I'm wondering if any of you are related or rumoured to be related to him? Or will any of you be visiting the museum and can ask if there are any genealogies of John's families available? I have two Tiree "cousins", one via the MacDougalls and one via the McLeans, who appear to be related to John McCrae. Their particular connection would be through the Young line of ancestry. The Youngs have a Simpson ancestor who is said to be the sister of the Simpson ancestor of John's mother.
