Gail, I was just looking at some dates here in your email - On 13 Oct 1795 Lachlan MC LEAN, a crofter, married Mary McPFAYDEN in Kilninian, Argyll. Then you say: Their daughter, Mary b. ca. 1808 then married Lachlan MCNIEL, b. ca. 1801 on 15 Oct 1822. I am wondering because That would have made daughter Mary only 14 when she married Lachlan McNiel. Yikes, but that is really young, even for those times. and Lachlan would have been 21.
