Dear Iain Campbell, Many thanks for sharing the fruits of your research with us. We (I am) are so grateful to have this fascinating information. I hope you are planning to be at the Gathering on Tiree in May. Perhaps we will all meet on the ferry from Oban on Saturday, May 20. We should decide on a symbol of some kind to wear to identify ourselves to each other. Hope to see you then to thank you in person for the incredible work you have done. Barbara Humphrey ("Babs") descendant of Neil Cameron who left Tiree with his mother, several brothers and sisters on the Charlotte, 20 June 1849
Hello Barbara, I will not be able to attend the Tiree gathering in May as I have work commitments. I am glad to share what bits and pieces I turn up as what is of little consequence for me may be that missing link for someone else. So far I have not come across any Camerons in my tree which consists of mainly MacDonalds and Campbells. Hope you all enjoy your gathering in May.
