Dear Listers, I would sincerely love to hear from anybody claiming a connection to or with on information on the following people. On 13 Oct 1795 Lachlan MC LEAN, a crofter, married Mary McPFAYDEN in Kilninian, Argyll. Their daughter, Mary b. ca. 1808 then married Lachlan MCNIEL, b. ca. 1801 on 15 Oct 1822. They had the following issue: Janet, b. 1826 Mull Flora, b. 1827 Mull Neil, b. 1829 Mary, b. 1831 Catherine, b. 1834 Alexander, b. 1836 Tiree Jiles (Julia), b. 1838 Tiree Donald, b.1838 Tiree Marion, b. 1843 Tiree Ann, b. 1845 Tiree In 1841 the family was living at Hough, Tiree. A decade later Mary is a widow and living in the nearby township of Moss. She died on 25 Oct 1861. Her son, Neil was present. In 1872 Marion McNeil married a Richard BROWN in Glasgow and her brother, Donald married Mary NAPIER on 7 Dec 1877, also in Glasgow. Some time afterwards, ca 1880 these two couples then emigrated to the Eastern Cape. Their sister, Catherine married a Richard WEIR in Blythswood, Glasgow on 22 Dec 1863.
