I am using Excel to open the file - what are you using to view the file? This is great, many thanks Russ. 28 MacDONALD, Donald; age 56; cotter; Caolis. 28 MacDONALD, Marion [nee MacDOUGALL]; age 50; wife; Caolis. 28 MacDONALD, Effy; age 15; dau.; Caolis. 28 MacDONALD, Hector; age 13; son; Caolis. 28 MacDONALD, Hugh; age 11; son; Caolis. 28 MacDONALD, Neil; age 9; son; Caolis. Hugh and Neil emigrated to Canada sometime before 1869. My interest, Neil, settled in Mooretown, Ontario and became a farmer. He was formerly a sailor. Family stories say that Hugh settled up in the Bruce but we've found no records to prove this. Hope someone on the List is researching this family.
