>Here I am sitting in the early morning sun in Armidale NSW AUS >turning greener and greener .. with envy that is. I hope all the >'gang' has a wonderful time even if the fog comes down. I will repost my interest which is very vague and concerns Mull, Morven and Tiree. My Dugald McLACHLAN was first married to a Mary McEACHERN. Their son Dugald was born 1805 in Morven. Presumably Mary died unless the son was illegitimate and the OPR itself does not say this is so. It is possible she was a sister of Hugh McEACHERN but I have been unable to confirm this. Then Dugald married Peggy McKINNON in Torosay in 1812. She died in childbirth in abt 1818. I also know nothing of her .. Mull or Tiree or Morven? Children: Anne 1813, Jean 1816, Donald abt 1817, Marion 1818 .. perhaps the names are a clue! Then Dugald married Peggy McEACHERN in 1819 and they were then living back in Morven. Children: Anne 1820, John 1828, Duncan 1830, Allan 1832, Anne 1835. Are there some missing here? My main connection is via Dugald born 1805. His son John b 1832 came to Australia. Jean also came to AUS but what of any of the others? If anyone seems to have a gap where the wives of Dugald seem to fit I would be very grateful for any input. Anne Maye.
