    3. Hi Ann, I wasn't able to make it to Guelph (family health issues), but I'm glad you met Catriona Smyth who is my MacDougall fourth cousin and serious research partner. We, and another MacDougall researcher in AU, John Brake, had been working on that MacDougall OPR document for sometime. I'm glad Catriona was able to get it ready for Guelph. I'm also happy to hear that you are connected to Marion McDougall of Vaul who married Donald MacDonald of Caoles 15th December 1819. Cationa and my ancestors were the MacDougalls of Caoles who we think were connected to the MacDougalls of Vaul. First, regarding your MacDonalds, we have these ancestors and I wonder if you recognize the Marion or Hector MacDonald? -John McDougall married Marion MacDonald 28th Feb 1811. Next then had a daughter: -Christy MacDougall of Caoles (b.17 January1812 d. 9th February 1897) married Hector MacDonald Caoles 11th Feb 1835. Then, about your Marion MacDougall, I'm wondering if she is the daughter of John McDougall baptized 09 AUG 1788? If so, I'm guess her mother was Flory Kennedy? I have quite a bit of infomation on parts of this family (connected to me through my Clarks.) A group of us did a lot of work on the Vaul MacDougalls a couple years ago, trying to connect them to the Caoles MacDougalls. We still think there is some connection, but shelved the research because we didn't have any other leads at the time. So maybe you can help us fill in some more of the blanks. I will post a separate message about that research in case other people want to respond. Thanks for writing, Louise BC -----Original Message----- From: Ann Hentschel [mailto:ann@ebtech.net] Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2005 11:38 PM To: SCT-ARL-TIREE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SCT-ARL-TIREE] Re: MACDONALD and McDOUGALL Connection ...I'm wondering if there is a connection to our MACDONALDs and McDOUGALLs. Donald MacDONALD in Caolis & Marion McDOUGALL in Vaull were married after regular proclamation of Banns on 15th December 1819 by Rev. Mr. Neil McLean. ....
