Gordon Scott, whose Isle of Tiree Online News website has been a 'must read' for present day islanders and all of us out here whose ancestors came from Tiree, has announced, regretfully, that because of time constraints he will no longer be able to maintain the website. Gordon gave very generous support to the RootsWeb Tiree List through his Tiree Online News website, and I would like to record my personal thanks to him for this. Gordon, we will miss, but not forget, the news and views of Tiree that you brought us. A truly professional job, and very much appreciated. Thank you from all of us. But it's not all bad news. An Tirisdeach, Tiree's own newspaper, will be going online within a few months, so we won't be cut off from present-day Tiree altogether.
