For those who subscribe to the Mull page this will be a repeat. Margaret McInnes McLean (widow) left Mull in 1812 as a Selkirk Settler along with sons Hector c1785, Alexander c1787, John 1792, Hugh 1794 and aughter Mary 1797. The latter children were probably born on Tiree but the familiy claimed Kilfinichan or Kilninian as home. We descendants in Canada are hoping to find some record of Hugh the father and also the family of his wife Margaret Mcinnes. The 1779 census for the Argyle estates suggests four possibilities for Hugh including (1) Sandaig age 20 (2) Bagh age 20, (3) Creich age 20 son of Sandy craftsman, and (4) Ballimianach age 15 tenant.
