Hello Again, My ancestor emigrated to Australia in 1854 on the "Derry Castle" with his wife Christy. He was said to have come from Corran Ferry before departing When I crossed on this ferry there were a small number of houses both sides of the Loch . Which side of Loch Linnhe is called Corran, that on the Fort William side or on the Strontian side? What would be the most likely occupation of someone living there? They were married in 1853 so would there be any way of knowing where exactly they lived? Thank you Marilyn Cameron
