Hi listers ,my name is Terry Murphy {new to the list] and was wondering if some one can point me in the right ?direction, as i am hoping to carry out some research into my GGG,grandfather a John Wilson [b?1825+ -] and parents were John Wilson [carpenter ][m] Isabella Colquhoun . when i sent for his death cert ,here in Brisbane 1884 all it said was he was born in the Highlands ,but on the shipping register states from Ballachullish ? noy knowing any thing re a parish , also he was married the 9-3-1845 at Gorbals Glasgow ,so is ?there any way of searching for his birth also his parents marriage ?
